Our Student Council is a lovely part of school life and something we’re very proud of. The children elect their representatives themselves, so every pupil has a say. Boys and girls from 2nd to 6th class take on the role, sharing ideas from their classes and helping to make our school an even better place for everyone.
They’ve organised some great events over the years, including our Grandparents’ Day bun sale and popular Bring and Buy sales. These are always fun days in the school calendar and a great way to bring everyone together.
The money raised has been put to very good use, the children decided what would make the biggest difference in the yard and around the school, and thanks to their efforts we now have new goals, basketball nets and other equipment that they felt were important for everyone to enjoy.
The council meets once a month to chat through ideas and plans, and they are kindly supported by Ms Cullagh. It’s always wonderful to see the children taking responsibility, working together and making a real difference in their school.
